On Call residential counselor positions to work exclusively in one of four areas: 1) Secure Residential 2) Licensed Treatment facilities 3) Supported Housing (homeless transitional) 4) PSRB (court-ordered, community-based facilities). Various shifts available (day, swing, awake overnight) for individuals who will provide active support and care to adults with severe and persistent mental illness in residential settings. Work as a team member utilizing recovery model, a strengths-based approach which supports residents in developing skills necessary for successful community integration. Duties include but not limited to therapeutic behavioral interventions (some physical interventions), skills training, documentation, meal preparation, medication dispensing and light housekeeping. QMHA (3 years experience in similar work or bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences) preferred but not required. Ideal for individuals seeking part-time positions.

Requirements include: QMHP credentials (Master’s degree in a behavioral health field); 3 years of experience working with SPMI population (severe and persistent mental illness); CADC (certified alcohol and drug counselor) or CADC eligible and certified within 1 year of employment; Must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal, clinical, decision-making and leadership skills; Knowledge of the Assertive Community Treatment Model. In addition, candidates must be able to operate computer hardware and software (including EMR software) at a level needed to effectively perform job functions. This includes the ability to enter data and retrieve data and to prepare simple reports. Preferred skills include: Spanish speaking, working knowledge of the strengths model, dual diagnosis and trauma informed care. The hours for this full-time position are Monday – Friday 9am-5:30pm.

  TRANSITIONAL INTENSIVE CASE MANAGER

QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) needed to provide transitional intensive case management to adults, children and families in Washington county who are in need of linkage to on-going mental health services. Clinician will provide rapid response and initial stabilization until linkage successfully occurs. Clinician will work closely with local hospitals, emergency departments, Washington County Involuntary Commitment team and the Washington County Crisis team. Seeking an experienced full-time LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) to provide direct integrated services and administrative/clinical oversight of subcontracted mental health providers. Direct care services will be provided to clients with mental health and often co-occurring addiction issues, and are HIV+; residing in Benton, Douglas, Lane, Linn, Marion, and Polk counties. Administrative/Clinical oversight will be provided in Jackson and Josephine counties. This is an innovative pilot project that includes Cascadia Behavioral HealthCare and Oregon’s Department of Human Services (DHS). Services will be provided in both a clinic and community setting, therefore candidates must have reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge working with individuals that have complex barriers to obtaining and maintaining appropriate housing; must be able and willing to develop partnerships, collaborate, and coordinate with various community organizations that promote the project’s outcomes. Must be experienced at assessments and developing treatment-plans that build on individual client strengths. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with taking on the role of an expert regarding behavioral health delivery systems. The project philosophy incorporates Behavioral Health Recovery Management model, including harm reduction techniques. Must have strong computer skills. Will be responsible for collecting and reporting data regularly. Must have and provide documentation of current LCSW license.

  OCCUPANCY SPECIALIST - NE PORTLAND

Duties include: monitoring compliance, marketing vacancies, assisting potential tenants in completing applications and other rental documents, manages documentation related to Cascadia rental properties, and completeing annual re-certifications for selected properties. Also manages the move-in/move-out process related to tenant eligibility, filing documents, determining rents, subsidies, etc. Reviews files for compliance purposes. Completes the paperwork for annual re-certifications with and for tenants. Qualifications include: Valid driver license and clean driving record. Prior work experience with housing operations, past experience in accounting, business, or non-profit administration, High School diploma or GED—post high school education may substitute for general experience. Preferred skills and experience: Computer skills—Excel, Word, Yardi; Occupancy Specialist certificate or willingness to acquire within one year, organized, good communication and customer service skills, previous experience with low-income/special needs housing. Previous property management experience, counseling/working with persons with special needs and some light bookkeeping skills preferred. In exchange for 12 hours per week of property management work, the manager will receive rent of a two bedroom apartment at MLK Apartments in lieu of pay. (Occupant pays utilities, except for water and sewer). Comfort with apartment living required. This is a part-time position with flexible hours. Current Cascadia employees must be employed 0.5 FTE or less.
