“Recovery from mental illness begins with having a safe, affordable and healthy place to live.  This provides a foundation that can focus on health & well-being, connecting with families & friends, and moving forward with productive and meaningful life activities. We believe that these things are necessary in order to build a harmonious community.”

— Jim Hlava, Vice President of Housing

We bring safe, affordable housing to those who need it most.

For 20 years, Cascadia has been a leader in developing and managing safe and affordable housing for Oregon residents with mental illness and addictions.

Today, Cascadia operates more than 20 property sites, representing over 350 units of supported and independent housing.

We get support from state and local grants, HOME funds, Community Development Block Grants, the Federal Home Loan Bank program, Department of Housing and Urban Development Capital Advances, Oregon Housing and Community Services Trust Fund and HELP grants, and the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program.
