Cascadia faces challenges, yet makes progress in its programs and systems on several fronts. Read all about it.

How Cascadia works with the news media

Cascadia's highest priority is the well being of the people we serve. Cascadia strives to be transparent and accessible. We want to tell our story, and we appreciate working with representatives of the news media who help us meet our commitment to openness.

Please direct all news media inquiries here:

Client waiver and release of liability

Cascadia employees use this to document a client's consent to participate in an event or interview, being audio or videotaped, or being photographed. Unless a client has consented to involvement with the news media or relevant others, and has completely executed a release of liability form, client contact is prohibited, including quoting a client by name in a news story. Clients are independent citizens of the community and have the right to choose to have any involvement with the news media or others at non-Cascadia in locations with no requirement of signed consent.

Release Form

"The mental health maze is terribly daunting, particularly when it involves a family member like my brother who has no local support system to rely on. I live in Virginia, and most coordination has to be done long distance. It has not been easy! He lives in Cascadia housing, and I've been so pleased with the care he's received from Cascadia. People like my brother are unable to advocate for themselves; they need others to advocate for them. Please know how much we rely on Cascadia and the inestimable role it fills."
