It’s that time of year: Sign up and join Team Cascadia for the annual NAMI Walk!

NAMI Walks are the largest mental health education and fundraising effort in America. Let’s show our community partners our support and walk for a cause we strongly believe in.  This is also a great chance for clients to celebrate how far they have come in their recovery, all while supporting their peers and helping to break the stigma surrounding mental health.

Help us build a strong Cascadia team. Staff, clients, family and friends are all welcome to join Team Cascadia and spend a meaningful, fun, afternoon together showing our dedication to being a continued support and resource for individuals whose lives are impacted by mental health and addiction challenges.

The 2018 NAMIWalks Northwest event will be at:
Vera Katz Eastbank Esplanade Festival Area in Portland
Sunday, May 20, 2018
Registration begins at noon; walk begins at 1 p.m.
For more information, contact Cascadia’s Communications Department, (503) 552-6213, or email communications@cascadiabhc.org.

About the NAMI Walk:
As the largest mental health event in the Northwest, more than 6,000 people join together to make a statement that recovery is possible; that mental health matters; and that people living with mental illness are a valuable part of our community. Whether you join the walk in person or online as a virtual walker, you are helping make a statement that mental health and access to care are important.

Raising funds and awareness will help keep NAMI programs available to all who need them, at no cost to participants. You do not need to physically do the walk, all are welcome! The walk is also the largest fundraiser for NAMI affiliates in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Ninety percent of funds raised support local NAMI programs and activities. Supporting the walk is an investment in our communities. You can continue to help us make a difference.
