Learn More About Cascadia Internships

Check with your college or university to see if they have an agreement/contract with Cascadia BHC for internship placements (list of colleges and universities with an agreement already in place are listed above). Due to risk and liability, all internships must be formally established with a university/college/training program prior to starting. If you do not see your college or program listed and would like it to be, please contact intern_inquiries@cascadiabhc.org.

The application is a legal electronically-signed document whereas the résumé is not. The application also requires detailed information that a résumé may not have.

  • If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted directly. If you are not selected and a position has been filled or has been canceled, you will be sent an email notification. You are welcome to check in by emailing peopleandculture@cascadiabhc.org to follow up. Please give us at least 5 business days for a response.

The internship application process can range from days to weeks depending on the volume of applicants. Cascadia BHC requires a lead time of 45 days prior to when a student would like to start an internship. Urgent requests will not be considered due to the required Criminal Background Check and mandatory trainings prior to the site/program start date.

Yes. It is important to note however, that Cascadia protocol only allows us to consider applicants for one position at a time. If you have a preference for a specific position, but want to apply for multiple, please indicate this preference if contacted for a phone screening.

Cascadia will only consider you for one position at a time. Therefore, your information will be forwarded to the internship that you’ve identified that most closely matches your qualifications and experience.

No. All internships must be formally established with a university/college/training program within the community via an affiliation agreement/contract with Cascadia. There may be experiential learning opportunities listed in the volunteer positions – these are project-based opportunities that anyone can apply to, regardless of student status. Please review the volunteer opportunities.

Current Cascadia employees are not eligible to intern at a Cascadia site or program. Please see the policy on Cascadia’s intranet – HR Policy 2.7.0.
